About Us

Eicher Engineering Components is a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors).

Eicher Engineering Components or EEC as it is more commonly known came into existence in 1992 in a take-over from Ramon & Demm, Thane, by way of backward vertical integration. The Ramon & Demm plant was originally set up in 1964 in technical collaboration with "Fratelli Daldi & Matteucci" of Italy - the makers of the famed "DEMM" brand gears - and it was the first gear manufacturing facility in the auto-ancillary sector in India.

EEC has achieved excellence in manufacturing Power-train components and Gear Boxes for a worldwide clientele both in OEMs and spare part market.

EEC’s manufacturing facilities are ISO /TS16949:2002 certified and are located at:

  • Thane (Maharashtra, INDIA) specializing in manufacturing Crown Wheel Pinions (Spiral Bevels and Hypoids), Straight Bevels and Transmission Gears and Shafts.
  • Dewas (Madhya Pradesh, INDIA) specializing in manufacturing Transmission Gears and Shafts. In the future, Crown Wheel Pinions (Spiral Bevels and Hypoids) will also be manufactured here.
  • Pithampur (Madhya Pradesh, INDIA) specializing in manufacturing various types of Gearbox Assemblies. E.g. Worm, Spur and Helical, Bevel and Differential Assemblies.
